Our Organizational Development

Organizational development is a planned effort that initiates from the top and spans the entire organization to increase the effectiveness and overall health of an organization. It is not just any activity, but a particular process designed to bring a specific result through planned interventions that utilize behavioral science.

According to Warren Bennis, organizational development (OD) is a complex strategy intended to change the beliefs, attitudes, values, and structure of organizations so that they can better adapt to new technologies, markets, and challenges.

  • Organizational Change  ( 3 items )
Managing change involves understanding the business and psychological processes employees must navigate to successfully create the change.
  • Rewards  ( 2 items )
We repeat what we are rewarded for.  Rewards must consider the individual needs of employees and be tied to those needs.  It's all about getting to know your employees, what motivates them, and what rewards they will find valuable.
  • Communication  ( 1 items )
Developing an organization is not just about interventions, revising processes, and hoping that employees will know what to do.  Communication is critical in ensuring a successful organizational development event.
  • Work Processes  ( 1 items )
Aligning work processes is a key component of organizational development.  Work process design includes a combination of human behavior, psychological processes, and work flow to ensure a simple, repeatable design that produces higher performance and profitability.
  • Culture  ( 1 items )
An organization's culture is the values and practices shared by the employees of that organization. Protecting your culture is an important investment in your organization's future.  Picking the wrong stock in an investment portfolio can jeopardize the entire portfolio, just as one bad hire or bad decision can devastate your organization's effectiveness.
